Hmmm. I suppose I should try and "regulate" my blog entries to every other day or so, rather than multiple postings in one day.... it just so happened I had some spare time today -- and so, I created!! :) My hair needs help! Always! I cannot stand the cheaply made hair conditioners available at the drugstore and I honestly cannot afford to purchase extravagant, luxurious, organic conditioners from beauty salons. Soooo, I made my own! AND, I decided to make my very first "photo diary" of the creative process from beginning to end. I rather enjoyed it! Perhaps next time I will try a "video diary". I began with my choice of oil and premium hair conditioner flakes that I found online some time ago (they are since sold out, so I need to use what I have carefully!) Being that this is only my second batch of conditioner, I decided to keep it simple and use Organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil. After melting the oil and conditioning flakes, I added very warm Goat's Milk (no product of mine is complete without real Goat's Milk!) I also decided to add some Antioxidant-Rich Green Tea. Blending - it didn't take long for the batch to thicken slightly. I just LOVE organic Aloe Vera Gel and use this wonderful stuff in every single one of my creations - from soap to lotions/creams and now hair conditioner! So, at this point, I added Aloe Vera and whipped that into the mixture. After everything was fully blended, I added a touch of coconut-derived preservative (Optiphen Plus) and my favorite blend of pure Essential Oils (heavy on the Sweet Almond so it smells like ripe cherries).
Lastly, the tricky part -- getting the conditioner into containers. I decided against recording that part of the process - it got a little messy ;) But here is the finished product! Tomorrow morning's shower is gonna be fun testing this out!

LOVE thrift store shopping! Went to the local shop (Worn-A-Bit) here in Rugby, North Dakota and found a sweet set of eight ceramic mugs -- perfect for my latest batch of Shaving Soap cooking up in the crockpot at this very moment! This batch I made with Goat's Milk, Olive, Castor, Coconut, and Neem oils ~ it will be scented with my special 1907 blend of pure Essential Oils (earthy and spicy combo). Eight complete shaving kits will be made available online in my Etsy shop as well as at the "Funky Junk Depot Summer Boardwalk Sale" June 14th in Towner, North Dakota!
